I'm out for a couple of days to check the L200 is working OK in anticipation of an intended trip to France; and to see what I can see on the bird-front, given that migration is all-too-soon upon us
I've spent an enjoyable day at Top Hill Low and spotted couple of good birds in the form of a solitary pintail and an equally solitary curlew sandpiper - a first for me in the UK. Dragonflies were super-abundant, too.
At the coordinates shown now, a place I've stayed before. From here I've seen roe deer, at least two dozen hares, and a couple of barn owls quartering: one of which also regaled me with extremely disconcerting screechings!
