THIS BLOGSITE IS PRIMARILY A LOCATION RECORDER / AIDE-MÉMOIRE FOR SOLO ROAD TRIPS AND DOMESTIC TRUCK TRIPS. IT'S ALSO SOMETIMES USED TO LOG OTHER RANDOM ACTS OF LOAFING AROUND.

NONE OF IT IS MEANT TO BE PARTICULARLY INTERESTING.

POSTS APPEAR IN DATE ORDER WITH THE MOST RECENT FIRST, BUT NAVIGATING TO SELECTED TRIPS OR FILTERING BY ACTIVITY IS EASILY ACHIEVED BY FOLLOWING THE RELEVANT LINKS.

Loafing - Day 2 - England

No vehicles passed me from signing off last night until well after I'd arisen. I was, though, vaguely occasionally aware overnight of a distant agricultural vehicle making noises like it was working a field until about 3.30am. Some farmers are proper grafters.

I'm now at Hornsea Mere, then (pic): apparently the largest lake in the whole of Yorkshire. I've found it OK, but not terribly accessible. I've walked miles and discovered only a couple of spots where it's possible to view the mere's birdlife in all its splendour. I've seen nothing rare or unusual, in spite of loads of birds in the way of numbers.

It's been a lovely morning, though; and things are about to improve exponentially as I'm heading to the seafront for some chips.
