We're off.

A steady potter down the motorway network saw us near Worcester by mid-afternoon. We wanted to have a bit if a walk out before night fell (shortest day and all that) so found the spot at the co-ordinates and called it a wrap.

It's a pleasant enough area, very affluent and quiet. Many of the houses round and about are genuinely mediaeval. The one in the pic is clearly cherished but precariously leaning forwards. The chimneys must be a full 20 degrees from vertical

Highlight has been a field full of buzzards. It was freshly ploughed and they were presumably opportunistically foraging worms and leatherjackets and such. Because it was heavy ground all their feet were solidly caked in at least an inch of mud making them look like some kind of hideous raptor / duck hybrid.
