House-hunting today and another fail.
At Garlieston at the moment as a cheer-up. Fantastic views over Wigtown Bay (pic), which was teeming. Best sightings were Brent geese (pale-bellied, I think) and sandwich terns.
Earlier I saw hundreds of pink-footed and barnacle geese (as well as learning of the Wigtown Martyrs) here: N 54.87138°, W 04.43758° / http://maps.google.com/maps?q=loc:54.87138%2C-04.43758
And heard my first willow warblers of the year here: N 55.16015°, W 04.57537° / http://maps.google.com/maps?q=loc:55.16015%2C-04.57537
A glorious day and the best time of the year made what's already an excellent region of Scotland very, very impressive.
