Saw crossbills and a few deer first thing this morning before we broke camp, left the Moors and headed over the Wolds.
We've gone from Northumberland to North Humber Land (a made up but factually accurate place) and are now at the location shown at Stoney Creek.
Seen the usual suspects; had a really good barn owl sighting and spent ages watching four grey seals flobbling about, hauling themselves further up the mudflats to stay just above the rising river level. They were only putting off the inevitable, though, because it's a big tide today. There are loads of huge ships up and down including a couple that were totally reliant on four tugs apiece.
We've come here for two reasons: we shouldn't have any new year's eve nonsense to bear and there's a chance for Emma to do two parkruns in Hull tomorrow morning.
After that we'll be pretty much heading home.
For sure, it's been a snowy and icy one!
