Stoney Creek (pic) threw up an unexpected new-year's surprise when, at midnight, all the ships moored up and down the Humber let rip with their horns. The whole thing lasted about five minutes and was quite something. We'd hoped not to be awoken by anything but, given the memorable celebration, weren't too disappointed.
We left early and spotted barn owl still out hunting, kingfisher, and more roe deer than seems sustainable.
Emma did her double parkrun, the first at Anlaby and the second at the Humber Bridge Country Park (coordinates). I did the latter, too.
I have some way to go to 2018 race fitness.
