It was a murky morning and not much moved on Westhay NNR so we decided on a change of focus and visited the Haynes' Motor Museum at Sparkford near Yeovil.
The exhibition was great and featured many really cool cars ranging from humble but mint family cars right up to real exotica.
As well as the cars there was also a bike section and loads of interactive demonstrations too. In the comprehensive museum shop it was a strange feeling to find my own manual on display alongside every other Haynes' title produced.
From the museum we pootled south but you wouldn't have known it. The weather closed in horrendously with high winds, murk and rain slewing in in curtains.
So we had an early finish. We parked up at the location shown, dived in the back and got the kettle on. 23 degrees C in the back in spite of a real howler outside. Glad we're not in a tent.
This is not the best camp by far and we're selling ourselves a bit short but at least it's close to the parkrun Emma is determined to do tomorrow.
