Woke to thick fog, frost and icy roads but all soon mellowed with pleasant morning sunshine.
Pootled down to Somerset by early afternoon to Westhay NNR. It's an awesome place. Heard and seen cetti's warbler and heard but failed to see water rails. We came specifically to try for a starting murmuration but were denied. At least we got a good run around the reserve in.
The whole area is teeming with life and could, by night - if you entertained the notion - be pretty spooky.
14 inch tyres are working brilliantly. Knocked out an easy 60mph when clearing a tricky junction on the M5, they're rolling over bumpy roads much more smoothly than that 12s and have floated over some soft stuff really effectively (pic).
Pity the same success can't be reported for the fridge. It seems that the thermostat pod has failed again. Dometic stuff is officially shite.
