Had a steady day bumbling over the North Pennines and Cleveland Dales to the coordinates shown where we're going to kip (pic).
It's right on the boundary of an RAF base and it seems from the warning signs that were we to venture a few metres further we'd almost certainly be taken out by a drone strike.
As is often the case with MoD land, there's a lot of decent untrammelled habitat around and about and it's been pretty good for birds and deer. Nothing really unusual but there have been some good stonechat and sparrowhawk sightings.
Emma braved a virtual-5K-race-league run. Pretty impressive given the tired legs from yesterday's bike ride over the tops.
