Tough day for me: chilled day for Emma.
I met my brother and Steve Coote midday and we ran (tried anyway) the V3K half from Tryfan car park to Bangor. It was great to be out and the route gave up some spectacular views but it was rock hard. The elevation was hard enough but it was the conditions underfoot that made it so tough. Moonscape doesn't do it justice and navigation was a nightmare.
Emma, meanwhile, had a pleasant and gobsmackingly scenic walk with Stu around the foothills of Tryfan.
Post run we took a punt on a location pulled off the OS map as an overnighting spot and it seems a cracker (coordinates and pic). We have a fantastic view out to Puffin Island and the Great Orme and it's just teeming with birdlife.
