Did North Cave Wetlands this afternoon. Weather was glorious but most of the pits were iced over meaning it was quieter than usual for birds.
Had an offer to stay there from the recorder but fancied heading to Stone Creek, even though it was further than I'd originally intended to travel. It was getting on a bit but I went for it and since getting here I've had some good sightings (in deep twilight) of kingfisher, loads of waders still braving the icy mudflats, and a couple if roe deer seemingly running as fast as they possibly could across an open field - it looked like they were just playing.
Enjoying watching the ships heading up and down the Humber by night.
