Today we were tourists. All day we shuttled from attraction to attraction, none of which were particularly touristed. We did a chapel, a Saint's cave, a Robert the Bruce artefact, an outstandingly pretty and peaceful coastal village called Garlieston, a coastal drive and a suspended platform over a valley that was both exciting and inexplicable in equal measures. It must have taken huge resources to construct it but it's essentially difficult to justify. A brainchild that someone actually took seriously.
Stuart started the day demanding he be included in every excursion and ended it refusing to leave the truck. A whippet can only take so much natural history and Scottish heritage stimulation.
Cool bird sightings today included brent geese, sandwich terns and rock pipit.
The restriction on overnight parking remains near the coast so we've come inland a bit where nobody cares where you choose to kip.
In fact there's simply nobody here to care.
