We've been out for a couple of days already around the Stratford area, basically to have a bit of a break and to take in the spring AO show.
It's been a biking and bumbling couple of days around the genuinely heart-of-England archetypal thatched houses and achingly pretty hamlets.
I wasn't going to bother blogging but two things are worthy of scrapbook memories. The first is the progress of the ongoing reforestation work in Warwickshire. It's making for some splendid mixed broadleaf and meadow habitats and it's all looking rather lovely.
The second is that there must be some kind of air display on somewhere not too distant this Platinum Jubilee weekend as for the last two days we've seen loads of interesting aircraft around and about. I don't know most of them but there have been a few interesting formations overhead. Of the things I have recognised have been 5 of the Red Arrows practising manoeuvres with and without full smoke plumes, a Catalina sailing plane complete with USA insignia and a De Havilland Vampire twin-boom jet.
