First up today was Normanby Hall parkrun. It's a really pleasant venue and a nice course. Unseasonably warm weather added to the appeal and this affected the birds, too. There were quite a few thrush and tit family members calling, and some individuals even warming up to song.
After the parkrun we ate a ton of crumpets and then went back north of the river where we had a good walk around Paull and thereafter pootled down to Stoney Creek (pic).
As usual, the whole area has been teeming and as well as stuff like knot, turnstone, barn owl, hundreds of curlew and thousands of plover; we've also done well for deer, grey seals... and ships.
Suffice to say Humber Pilots are impressive!
