THIS BLOGSITE IS PRIMARILY A LOCATION RECORDER / AIDE-MÉMOIRE FOR SOLO ROAD TRIPS AND DOMESTIC TRUCK TRIPS. IT'S ALSO SOMETIMES USED TO LOG OTHER RANDOM ACTS OF LOAFING AROUND.

Berwyn Mountains Trip - Day 3 - Wales

Blogging at 22:05 on Saturday 8th August from N 52.93475°, W 03.24165° / http://maps.google.com/maps?q=loc:52.93475%2C-03.24165

Things to remember:

Virtual 5K League run along banks of Lake Vyrnwy - it was hard!
Some ridiculously tight lanes today including a steep ascent with an encroaching farm building and hairpins that were literally only just possible.
Ancient Yew tree in churchyard (pic).
Dave Lee Travis reversed out of the way for us.
Bee in Emma's hair - it really did happen.
Remote camp looks promising (coordinates), good birdlife from here including redstarts and a brilliant sighting of a pair of hawfinches.
