Camp was quiet last night and we started the day well with a giant veggie breakfast each at Stibbington Diner. It gets no better than that.
We reached the Imperial War Museum mid morning and after initially thinking the £17.50-each entry fee was a bit steep pretty quickly saw it was actually a massive bargain. The place is vast, it has 8 huge exhibition halls and dozens of smaller attractions besides. It's a seriously large operation and everything is very well presented and maintained.
There are halls dedicated to land, sea and air and other themes besides. My favourite was the American Air Museum where there were some brilliant exhibits including a B52, a Phantom, a P51 Mustang and - gob-smackingly - an SR71 Blackbird: 2500 mph at the edge of space! Emma's favourite was being able to get on a Concorde.
In other hangers they had loads of fantastic planes and tanks that took me, far too enthusiastically, back to my Airfix days. Notables were Vulcans, Spitfires, Harriers, Jaguars, Lancaster's, Mosquitoes - and on and on. Brilliant stuff.
We only paused briefly to see to Stu and before we knew it we were being kicked out at 4.00pm having missed a good deal of the stuff on show. Definitely worth a repeat visit.
From there we headed to the location shown, it's the green cemetery just near 6 Mile Bottom where I've stayed a few times. Got here just after dark and all seems well.
