Spent most of the afternoon bumbling eastwards. Stopped off at Southfield reservoir, loads of sand martins but also loads of fishermen. Full on match - no wasp grub, joker or bloodworm allowed.
Then found a really nice local nature reserve at Eastrington that would definitely do as a rough camp. Saw blackcap there, apparently they have water voles and purple hairstreak butterflies.
From there went to the estuary at Faxfleet, mint hen harrier sighting over some arable land about 3K short of the Humber itself.
Now at what I hope will be a quiet camp right on the Wolds Way. Middle of nowhere spot overlooking the 'majesty' of Hull. Would have been happier if 4 lads in a sh*t old car hadn't have been lurking when I first arrived.
