Scilly Isles Trip - Day 3

50.69935° -4.21439°

Saw first sand martin and chiffchaff this morning back at the NNR in Somerset. Fantastic reserve and will definitely try to get back there in winter to see starling roost. Heard more bitterns at dawn and heard many Cettis warblers too.

Now at Roadford Reservoir in pic near Okehampton where saw first swallow of year. This too is a superb spot with loads of woodland walks and peace and quiet.

All OK apart from Stuart and his recurring problem of something stuck in his paw - it's bleeding again. Also had major problem with water tank inspection hatch blowing off under surge of water and spreading about 5 litres of water all over base of truck - under all furniture, into electrics centre - everywhere. Got it all cleaned up but took hours to dry everything. CAK are indeed cak.
